Bio
Rolls
Bio Rolls constructed of coconut fiber provide
initial structural stability by resisting wave
action and flow velocity. These rolls provide an
excellent medium for plant growth.
During the installation process, young plants can be
inserted into the coconut fiber rolls. Sediment is deposited
in and around these rolls which create an
excellent environment for further development of
vegetation.
Upon biodegradation of the coconut fiber, there will be
a well developed root structure in the original
ground which successfully holds soil in place.

Grand Harbor, Destin FL: MCCA used
coconut
mats and logs to install a permanent and
aesthetically pleasing erosion control
solution at a premier resort in Destin FL. |
Bio Mats/Blankets
 Coconut
fiber mats are used extensively by MCCA to stabilize
the soil and foster the growth of natural
vegetation. This is especially important in
applications requiring re-vegetation of erosion
ravaged landscape.
MCCA uses premium coir products from GREENFIX.
The woven matrix of the blanket prevents the fibers
from being washed away when exposed to runoff water.
Heavy weight, high wet tensile strength and high
limiting shear stress values of the blanket
guarantee a superior performance over all other
temporary, organic erosion control blankets with 3
years or less functional longevity.
The blanket has a minimum functional longevity of 36
months. Use of 100% coconut fiber guarantees a
consistent decay of the medium to the benefit of the
natural vegetation. This also prevents the
existence of unwanted remnants and residue common to
multi-material fabrics.
